Inveraray and District is a particularly beautiful place to visit during the month of May whilst the Bluebells are in bloom and our long summer days stretch out. Each year we arrange an entire month of exciting events to entertain and amuse you. Only 90 mins from Glasgow and the gateway to the whole of Argyll and the Islands.

The Games consist of traditional piping, dancing and athletics. he highlights of the Games is the Caber World Championships. As well as the Games, there are a variety of stalls selling local fresh foods and gifts.

The Mid-Argyll Agricultural Show


A major event held annually with hundreds of exhibitors entering competitions in Baking, Produce, Crafts, Flowers and Vegetables as well as the Dog and Livestock classes. Trade Stands provide an opportunity to browse and buy.

Oban Highland Games


In the Track and Field events and in the Dancing many of the competitions are for Scottish championship titles and in the solo Piping, the competitions are for World championship titles.

Dalmally Agricultural Society has the largest entry of Highland Cattle in the UK. Traditionally known as the ladies' section, the Industrial Section is now entered by men and women wishing to show their talents in baking.

Food, Drink, Music, children's entertainment and crafts festival in the grounds of Inveraray castle. Entry is free and the live music continues each evening in the George Hotel Inveraray.
